Subsequently, when his former enemy saw him again, he not only had to kneel and admit his fault but also lamented that Fan Sui could “climb above the clouds through his own efforts”. “Rising rapidly in the official career” not only refers to a smooth career and rapid promotion but also implies a leap in life after breaking through adversity.
