The Incantation of Tai Shang with the Talisman of Lü Dongbin (Chunyang) on the back

$89.90

This is a Chinese amulet coin used to expel filthy energy, strengthen personal beliefs, and enhance one’s overall fortune. This coin emphasizes “removing negative beliefs, eliminating adverse effects, and enhancing positive beliefs”. It is generally used when life is at a low ebb or one’s career is not going smoothly, and it can also be used to protect oneself during stable periods. This type of amulet coin is often composed of the “beginning of the talisman”, the “incantation”, and the “end of the talisman”. This system originates from the “Zhengyi Covenant” of the Taoist school – it borrows the covenant between Taoist priests and immortals, and according to one’s own status and different runes, it uses the names of immortals to generate power.

This amulet coin is the “Incantation of Tai Shang”. The front of it is cast with the “Incantation of Tai Shang”. “Tai Shang” refers to the “Heavenly Worthy of Morality”, one of the three supreme gods in Taoism, and his incarnation is Laozi who founded Taoism. The “Incantation of Tai Shang” comes from the “Taishang Dongyuan Shenzhou Jing”. The beginning “The Incantation of Tai Shang says” means that Tai Shang Lao Jun recites the incantation. The “Incantation of Tai Shang” is an abbreviated incantation, symbolizing the removal of filth and demons by the divine power of Tai Shang Lao Jun.

The back of it is engraved with the image of Lü Dongbin and the “Chunyang Talisman”. Lü Dongbin is one of the Eight Immortals and is honored as the “Chunyang True Man”. He holds a sword and carries a gourd on his back, symbolizing cutting off worries, eliminating disasters and resolving misfortunes, and his image coincides with the Taoist concept of “suppressing greed, anger, and ignorance with a sword”.

The talisman beside it is the “Chunyang Talisman”, representing the pure yang energy, which means expelling negative emotions such as one’s own weakness, jealousy, and obsession, adjusting one’s own magnetic field, enhancing personal spirituality, and then integrating into nature.

This amulet coin has a complete “beginning of the talisman”, “incantation”, and “end of the talisman” on the front to remove negativity; and specific images on the back to adjust one’s own magnetic field and strengthen personal beliefs. It condenses the cultivation wisdom of Taoism that “connects with the gods through talismans and controls qi with forms”, and it is even called a “miniature Taoist altar”.
